This simulation provides an interactive simulation of an ideal gas. Users can change the number of gas molecules in a chamber, change the volume, add/remove heat, and change gravity. Users can explore the relationship between changes in kinetic energy of the gas molecules and heat. This item is part of a larger collection of simulations developed by the Physics Education Technology project (PhET).
