This Java applet simulates two particles moving and colliding in one dimension.  The collision is elastic and is shown as being caused by a virtual spring.  The user can change the starting velocities of the two particles and the spring constant of the virtual spring.  The applet also graphs the momentum and kinetic energy of the two particles as they move.  It is part of a larger collection of Java simulations.
This simulation is based on the EJS programming platform.

Please note that this resource requires Java.

Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.5 of Java (JRE).
