Motion on a Ramp: Dynamic Measurement with a Dilution of g
published by
the College Ready Math-Science Partnership
This guided inquiry challenges students to design an experiment to determine the relation between distance traveled and velocity change of an object moving down a tilted ramp. The activity is motivated by experiments conducted by Galileo. The goal of this activity is combine practice with experimental design with inquiry learning of one of the standard results of kinematics.
This is part of a collection of similar resources developed by the College-Ready Math-Science Partnership at the University of Arkansas. This activity was originally developed by PASCO and modified by the College Ready MSP.
